Connect Truist to Claude

Ask Claude about your real
Truist accounts — read-only.

Ask Claude about your real Truist accounts — balances, transactions, and spending, read-only. Ledgerwire connects Truist to Claude (or Cursor, Claude Desktop, any MCP client) through your bank's own secure sign-in. It can never move money, and it keeps no copy of your data.

Get started free

  1. 1 · Add
In Claude, go to Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector. Enter the name Ledgerwire and the MCP URL https://ledgerwire.io/mcp, then authorize.
  2. 2 · Sign in
Sign in to Ledgerwire (free, passwordless magic link), then connect Truist through its own secure sign-in window. Your credentials go to Truist, never to us.
  3. 3 · Ask
Ask Claude anything about your Truist accounts. Answers are fetched on demand and discarded.
“…”
“What did I spend from my Truist account last month?”
“…”
“What's my Truist checking and savings balance?”
“…”
“What subscriptions are billing my Truist card?”

Balances, transactions, spending by category, and recurring charges. You sign in through Truist’s secure flow; Ledgerwire never sees your credentials.

Coverage depends on your bank: some institutions report categories, APR, or holdings and some don't. A missing field always comes back as “not reported”, never a fake $0, and bank data lags posting by a few days. See the FAQ for the full coverage story.

Can't move money
There is no transfer, payment, or account-change tool — the capability doesn't exist in the product.
Scoped, revocable access
claude.ai authorizes with OAuth 2.1; other clients use a scoped token — both read-only and revocable in one click. No long-lived shared key.
Nothing stored
Every read is fetched on demand and discarded; your transactions and balances are never written to our database. More on the Trust Center and security page.
Does Claude connect directly to Truist?
No — Claude has no native Truist integration. Ledgerwire is the bridge: a hosted, read-only MCP connector. You add https://ledgerwire.io/mcp to Claude once, connect Truist through the bank's own sign-in, and Claude can then read your accounts — nothing more.
Can Claude move money in my Truist account?
No. Ledgerwire is read-only by architecture — there is no transfer, payment, or account-change tool anywhere in the product. Claude can read your Truist data and nothing else.
Does Ledgerwire store my Truist transactions?
No. Every answer is fetched on demand when you ask and then discarded. Your transactions and balances are never written to Ledgerwire's database, and your Truist login is never seen by Ledgerwire — you sign in through your bank's own secure window.
How do I connect Truist to Claude?
In Claude, add the Ledgerwire connector (Settings → Connectors → add https://ledgerwire.io/mcp), sign in to Ledgerwire (free, passwordless), connect Truist through its secure sign-in, then ask Claude about your accounts.
What can Claude see from Truist?
Balances, transactions, spending by category, and recurring charges. You sign in through Truist’s secure flow; Ledgerwire never sees your credentials.
