Does Claude connect directly to HSBC?
No — Claude has no native HSBC integration. Ledgerwire is the bridge: a hosted, read-only MCP connector. You add https://ledgerwire.io/mcp to Claude once, connect HSBC through the bank's own sign-in, and Claude can then read your accounts — nothing more.
Can Claude move money in my HSBC account?
No. Ledgerwire is read-only by architecture — there is no transfer, payment, or account-change tool anywhere in the product. Claude can read your HSBC data and nothing else.
