Connect Capital One to Claude
Ask Claude about your real
Capital One accounts — read-only.
Ask Claude about your real Capital One accounts and cards — read-only. Ledgerwire connects Capital One to Claude (or Cursor, Claude Desktop, any MCP client) through your bank's own secure sign-in. It can never move money, and it keeps no copy of your data.

Connect Capital One in three steps
1 · Add
In Claude, go to Settings → Connectors → add a custom connector: https://ledgerwire.io/mcp
2 · Sign in
Sign in to Ledgerwire (free, passwordless magic link), then connect Capital One through its own secure sign-in window. Your credentials go to Capital One, never to us.
3 · Ask
Ask Claude anything about your Capital One accounts. Answers are fetched on demand and discarded.
What you can ask
“…”
“What did I spend on my Capital One card last month?”
“…”
“What subscriptions are billing my Capital One card?”
“…”
“What's my Capital One balance?”
What Claude can see from Capital One
Balances, transactions, spending by category, and recurring charges. Honest note: Capital One does not report credit-card APR / rate detail through the aggregator network, so that field comes back as "not reported" (never a fake $0). Everything else works normally.
Coverage depends on your bank: some institutions report categories, APR, or holdings and some don't. A missing field always comes back as “not reported”, never a fake $0, and bank data lags posting by a few days. See the FAQ for the full coverage story.
Read-only, by architecture
Can't move money
There is no transfer, payment, or account-change tool — the capability doesn't exist in the product.
Scoped, revocable access
claude.ai authorizes with OAuth 2.1; other clients use a scoped token — both read-only and revocable in one click. No long-lived shared key.
Nothing stored
Every read is fetched on demand and discarded; your transactions and balances are never written to our database. More on the
Trust Center and
security page.
Questions
Can Claude move money in my Capital One account?
No. Ledgerwire is read-only by architecture — there is no transfer, payment, or account-change tool anywhere in the product. Claude can read your Capital One data and nothing else.
Does Ledgerwire store my Capital One transactions?
No. Every answer is fetched on demand when you ask and then discarded. Your transactions and balances are never written to Ledgerwire's database, and your Capital One login is never seen by Ledgerwire — you sign in through your bank's own secure window.
