There is no official Fidelity MCP server, and Claude can't read Fidelity on its own. You have two ways to close that gap. This page is honest about both.

Build your own
Write an MCP server against a bank-data aggregator (Plaid, Finicity, SnapTrade, Akoya). Full control, no subscription — but you own the aggregator credentials and fees, OAuth token handling, hosting, and the security of code that touches financial data. Open-source starting points exist on GitHub.
Use Ledgerwire
A hosted, read-only MCP server that already connects Fidelity. No server to run, no API keys to manage, no aggregator contract. Read-only by architecture; free for one institution.

Use the hosted server in three steps

  1. 1 · Add
    In Claude, Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector. Name it Ledgerwire, MCP URL https://ledgerwire.io/mcp, then authorize.
  2. 2 · Connect
    Sign in to Ledgerwire (free, passwordless), then connect Fidelity through its own secure sign-in. Credentials go to Fidelity, never to us.
  3. 3 · Ask
    Ask Claude about your Fidelity accounts. Answers are fetched on demand and discarded.

What the hosted server exposes

Investment accounts, holdings/positions, and balances. Holdings come from the Finicity network, so a position with no reported value shows as "not reported" rather than $0 — your portfolio sums stay honest. You sign in through Fidelity’s secure flow.

Every tool is read-only. A field Fidelity doesn't report comes back “not reported”, never a fake $0, and bank data lags posting by a few days. Full tool list on the security page.

Questions

Is there an official Fidelity MCP server?
No. Fidelity does not publish an MCP server, and Claude has no native Fidelity integration. To let Claude read Fidelity data you either build your own MCP server against a bank-data aggregator, or use a hosted connector like Ledgerwire that already does this — read-only, at https://ledgerwire.io/mcp.
Should I build my own Fidelity MCP server or use a hosted one?
Building your own gives full control and no subscription, but you take on aggregator credentials and fees, OAuth token handling, hosting, and the security of a service that touches financial data. A hosted connector like Ledgerwire trades a subscription for none of that operational or security burden, and is read-only by architecture. Build if you want to own the stack; use hosted if you just want Claude to read your accounts today.
